AVING on the announcement about Cinegy and DNK award winning installation.

Tatarstan Novy Vek  (TNV) based in the capital of Russia’s Tatarstan Republic, a “Novy Vek” Television station, is a 2-language channel with its own programming and production of a variety of programs including: news and analytics, education, social and political programs, live sport transmissions and sport-related programs. TNV also has a separate “Yash TNV” channel for kids and youth.

Cinegy’s partner in Russia DNK Corp successfully completed the installation at TNV which included the creation of a brand new 4-camera studio for national news, a transition from tape-based workflow and playout to a tapeless and automated technology based on Cinegy software.

“The Cinegy Workflow solution was chosen from a lineup of many other solutions. It matches all the requirements and demands of TNV’s workflow requirements as it not only allows TNV to accomplish tapeless transition, but also increased efficiency and optimizes each department’s workflow”. Says Ilshat Aminov, General Manager of TNV.

In 2012 this project was awarded “A project of the year: regional newsroom” award by TKT Magazine.

Today, TNV has 2 studios – one for news and a second for production. The Cinegy workflow installed at TNV includes: 8 Cinegy Ingest stations for tape-based ingest, 80 concurrent Cinegy Desktop licenses for journalists and editorial staff, 15 NLE stations with Cinegy Cinebridge, 5 Cinegy Air playout servers which broadcast 24 hours on air, and 4 Cinegy Air Studio playout servers which are used in studios for news and production. Cinegy Archive database refers to 6000 hours of tapeless media in total and is constantly growing.

“Thanks to Cinegy, our journalists today are able to do much more themselves. Instant access to archived materials is very convenient and speeds up the process of production and preparation for playout. It is also important that the system can be easily upgraded, expanded and integrated into existing company infrastructure”. Continues Ilshat Aminov, General Manager of TNV

Fast, new and innovative technical development and the continuous improvement of programming and marketing policies have now allowed TNV to increase its geographical coverage to 630 cities and 1200 towns in Russia. With the increase of TNV’s audience parameters, TNV’s advertising sales has also increased and continues to grow further.
